About the Speaker

Worked as a reporter and producer for investigative reports at CBC channel and directed short films for Al-Watan newspaper’s website. Produced cross-border investigative reports for ARIJ in Jordan and DW, the German television network. 

Founded and managed the Multimedia Unit at Masrawy in 2016 ، Multimedia Managing Editor at ONA for Journalism and Media (Masrawy, Yalla Kora, El-Consolto) for six years. 

He has received several Egyptian and Arab awards, including the German Siemens Energy Award and the ARIJ Award for Investigative Journalism. Mobile Journalist and Multimedia Trainer with extensive experience in digital storytelling, investigative reporting, and media production. Founded the first Mobile Journalism Master’s course at the Adham Center, American University in Cairo. Trained hundreds of students and journalists across Egypt, the MENA region, and several African countries including South Africa, Senegal, Congo, Ethiopia, Mogadishu, Algeria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Kenya. Proficient in mobile-based journalism, including filming, editing, live broadcasting, and sound mixing using advanced applications.
