As Ramadan approaches, Breadfast has announced an exciting lineup of new sweets that are already creating a buzz among dessert lovers. This year’s offerings include a delightful mix of traditional and innovative treats, such as Konafa Karpatka, Date Baklava Pudding, Konafa Sticks, Banana Pudding Basbousa, Konafa Mille Feuille, Tres Leches French Vanilla, and Konafa Mille Feuille Pistachio.

Each of these creations combines an array of rich flavors…

Take the Date Baklava Pudding, it blends the caramel sweetness of dates with the rich, buttery flavors of Baklava in a smooth pudding base. Whereas the Konafa Karpatka brings together the crispy layers of Konafa with creamy Karpatka.

Another konafa twist was added to the Konafa Sticks, which offer a modern take on the classic Konafa, with a crispy exterior and creamy inside. Whereas the Banana Pudding Basbousa combines soft Basbousa cake with a comforting banana pudding flavor.

Each creation is crafted to provide a sweet and comforting experience, perfect for satisfying cravings during the Holy Month with a modern twist, making them the perfect craving for the Holy Month.

Ahmed Mohsen, a kitchen manager at Breadfast located in the Mall of Arabia branch, shared insights about their new Ramadan innovations.

“We started with one product at the beginning of this Ramadan, but the demand was so high that we quickly added more creations and flavors,” he explained.

Seeing the positive response, he added, “We wanted to keep surprising our customers with new options.”

It seems as though the Konafa Karpatka was one of those favored surprises.

“The most sold product is the Konafa Karpatka, made with mille-feuille and cream, topped with mixed berries,” said Ahmed Mohsen, the kitchen manager.

They sell around 10 to 15 of them in-store each day.

Customers have expressed their delight in these trendy desserts, which often sell out within hours. Especially popular during Ramadan, these indulgent breakfast treats combine traditional flavors with a modern twist, from date-filled pastries to creamy kunafa cups and rich Atayef variations. Many families make them part of their suhoor or early morning meals, savoring their sweetness before the day’s fast begins. The demand during this season is so high that shops often sell out within hours of opening. In fact, some people wake up extra early just to get their hands on their favorite Ramadan desserts, often lining up right after they drop, even before dawn

But the Date Baklava Pudding has its own fans, too.

“I couldn’t believe how amazing the Date Baklava Pudding was. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Iftar,” said Besan Khattab, an ESLSCA student, when asked about her favorite dessert this Ramadan.

Among families, the Kunafa Sticks, known for their crispy texture and rich filling, have proved their popularity.

“These are so easy to share, and they taste incredible. It’s become a tradition for us,” shared Ganna Abdallah, a regular customer.

Mohsen emphasized the quality of their products, highlighting their commitment to excellence, saying,

“We use high-end ingredients while keeping prices affordable for most of the customers. Our customers prefer to buy from us because we are an Egyptian brand and we prioritize the quality of the product,” said Mohsen.

He also noted that due to recent economic changes, they are committed to maintaining high standards despite price increases, saying, “Even with rising costs, we refuse to compromise on quality because our customers deserve the best.”

Additionally, he advised customers to come early to ensure they can order their desired sweet treats.

“[Even though], it seems everyone comes early, and our products are often sold out by the time we open,” he explained he explained.

Breadfast is continuously working on improving the balance between app orders and keeping enough stock for in-store customers.

“There are so many new ideas in our products, and we are continuously handling non-stop orders,” he said.
