Mohamed Mostafa Sherdy, a prominent TV host and journalist, recently engaged with students of new media and communications at ESLSCA University, offering valuable insights aimed at shaping their future careers. Currently hosting “Kol Youm” on OnE channel, Sherdy emphasized the importance of self-investment and continuous education in the evolving landscape of media.

“You have to invest in yourself,” he stated, urging students to take proactive steps in their personal and professional development. He highlighted the necessity of being well-informed, especially regarding current events, such as the ongoing elections in the United States. “If you don’t follow up on the elections right now, you’re missing out on critical knowledge.”

Sherdy stressed that education extends beyond formal degrees. “Being educated means reading and gathering information,” he explained. “As a media student, you must understand your place in the world today.” He asserted that having a well-formed opinion is essential for aspiring journalists, describing it as a vital quality that every reporter should cultivate.

In addition to discussing the importance of knowledge and opinion, Sherdy addressed the growing issue of technology addiction. He warned students about the distractions posed by digital devices and the need for concentration in their studies and future careers.

His visit served as a powerful reminder of the responsibility’s journalists hold in an information-saturated age, encouraging students to become informed, opinionated, and focused professionals in the field.
